Intelligent neutralization and stabilization additives with supplementary functions

Establishing the correct pH value is especially important in aqueous and water-miscible systems. Often it is necessary to neutralize compounds with an acid function in such systems.

This is an area where intelligent neutralization additives provide additional functionalities. Examples include support for the action of dispersant additives, contributing to the colour strength in pigmented systems, supplying an additional emulsifying effect and reinforcing the effectiveness of registered biocides although they do not belong to this product group themselves. When such multifunctional neutralization additives are used, it is therefore possible to reduce the dosage of other additives in many cases. This is precisely what amino alcohols do and they also have a stabilizing effect.
